Marie Elena and I met in grade school and although our lives intertwined, we were not in the same circle of friends at that point. With the intervention of social media we became closer later on. She spent many summer weekends at my house, she loved to sun and swim! Whenever Marie Elena and Phil came to my house, she never came empty handed and would bring the sweetest gifts which I will treasure always. She was the ultimate Jersey girl, loved her shore, her Giants, her nails, her family, her friends, her Phil. She was a kind hearted, gentle, and loyal soul and I know I have another angel watching over.

To know Marie Elena was to love her. So full of life and she was so happy to be friends. I’d make the coffee she’d bring the donuts. I always knew she cherished our friendship and I am going to miss her terribly. She had so much faith and I pray she’s in the arms of our father. To Phil, the love of her life I extend my sincerest sympathy.. To the Puleo family I hope you find comfort in knowing how much she was loved. With Deepest Sympathy, Jeannie Conforti-Salvatore

Marie Elena & I met in South Jr High. We reconnected several years ago and became good & close friends these past few years.
What I learned was that being Marie's friend meant she loved you genuinely and openly. Generous with her time, prayers, compassion & humor. Her love for her friends surpassed only by her total love & devotion to her husband Phil, her family and her unwavering love & faith in God. I pray Phil and her family find some measure of comfort in knowing how very many lives she touched.
I will miss & treasure our talks, laughs and prayers. Rest easy Girlfriend, " O Street Besch" in Seaside Park will never be the same! Blessed to have been your friend. XO

Marie Elena and I went to school together. We reconnected at our 40 high school reunion. I remember that evening talking about our lives since high school. She was so kind and compassionate and we became Facebook friends often communicating about spiritual things. I enjoyed her spiritual posts and she would comment on mine and sometimes send me private messages of how my posts impacted her. I know you are in your heavenly home. I know you will be missed by your husband and your family. RIP my friend until we meet again.

Elena came to work for me over 12 years ago.
She has been one of the most devoted and loyal employees I’ve ever had. We are all devastated to no longer have her with us.
I am going to miss our talks on Monday mornings about the Giants game the day before
She was always so happy when I would share photos and memories of my family with her.
She had pictures of my son on her desk that she continually rotated. Family was everything to her as she would share stories all the time of her extended family.
We will miss you tremendously Elena

Condolences to all who knew, and loved, Elena.
I met Elena about 10 years ago when I arrived at her place of employment in Irvington, NJ for a Tech Service Call.
We soon discovered we both grew up in Bloomfield.
While we were a few years apart in age, we also discovered we shared many mutual friends during our glorious youth in Bloomfield.
Marie Elena, I know you are sitting on a heavenly beach, somewhere, enjoying a new life.
Peace be with you..... and don't forget the sunscreen.
Kind Regards,

Marie Elena was a force of nature and an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She loved her family, life in general, her job, and the Giants. She was always sharing and giving. I knew her from our Friday's Weight Watchers meetings and she made everything fun. We are truly heartbroken. We will miss those sparkling blue eyes and the many wonderful stories. We will always remember her positive energy. It was a privilege to have known her.

Marie Elena and I reconnected about 10 years ago at our High School reunion. Realizing we both liked making plans we did day trips to her favorite Seaside Park Beach, Fall trips to our classmates Boutique in Hackettstown, invites to her sisters swimming pool and of course mini reunions for Coffee and Breakfast at Willies Diner. We also shared a love for Football and every Sunday she would message me during her beloved Giants Games. I shall miss you dearly my friend, but you’ll forever be in my heart.

I am so heartbroken to hear about Marie Elena. She was such a kind and loving person. We grew up in the same neighborhood and went to school together. Although we hadn’t seen each other in years, we reconnected on Facebook. I am going to miss her inspirational posts and her positive spirit. Marie Elena touched the hearts of so many people and will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. May her husband Phil and her family find comfort in all of the wonderful memories they made together . My deepest sympathy to all of you. So very very sad.

I am heartbroken and shocked in Marie Elena's passing. We grew up in the same neighborhood, played in Millbank playground in the summers and went through K-12 schools together. We recently connected and I felt that in our conversations we didn't skip a beat. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. I will never forget her. RIP my friend❤

I knew Marie Elena since we were children. We lived across the street from each other on North 15th St. So many memories from playing Barbies, jumping rope, kick ball and I can go on and on but our favorite was playing movie stars and Marie Elena always had to be Ann Margaret. I will keep those memories forever in my heart. My prayers and condolences to her husband Phil and her family. RIP Dear Friend🙏

My condolences to Phil and the entire Puleo family. I am so sorry for your loss.
Marie Elena and I were good friends in High School. We lost touch over the years and then reconnected on Facebook. She would always say that I played a part in her love story. It was at my 18th Birthday celebration that she met the love of her life, Phil. I enjoyed her Facebook posts as they were always uplifting and spiritual. She was a lovely person and will be missed. Praying for Phil and the family. May her memory be a blessing to you. 💔🙏

Marie was such a good person. One particular memory is early last year I had major surgery. Once I was home a bit, Marie made a point of coming to visit. She brought pastries, we had coffee and laughed together. It wasn’t the only time we enjoyed each other’s company, but its the time that meant the most. She made me feel important to her. I hope the family can take solace in knowing how well she was thought of. May she rest in Gods arms and find peace.
