Mark was born on October 6, 1935, an only child, to Lea and Bill and was an incredibly devoted son. Mark was raised in Scranton, PA until the age of 7 when his family moved to Union, NJ. Mark attended Rutgers University as a Pharmacy major and was also a member of the Marching Band. He was also in a band during his time in the National Guard where he played the saxophone. Mark met his beloved wife Linda on a Rutgers pharmacy boat ride and they immediately fell in love. Upon graduation from Rutgers, he went on to become a pharmacist, opening his own store in Westfield. Mark made a career change in the 1980s by doing a 180° to became a financial planner for Lincoln National. In both careers, Mark developed close relationships with his customers and clients. He and Linda raised their three children in Livingston, where they resided for 52 years before moving to Winchester Gardens in Maplewood. While at Winchester Gardens he continued to enjoy concerts, lectures and meeting many new and wonderful friends. He especially loved eating with them in the dining room and sharing stories about his family and
eventful life. Mark loved spending time with his family, their wonderful friends (and their families) from so many parts of his life. He was a huge fan of the Mets and Giants, and later in life, Michigan and Wisconsin football and basketball because of his grandchildren, along with the Millrose Track and Field Games.
