Meredith Resnick

Meredith (Merry) Resnick beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on June 17, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Resnick. She is survived by her daughters: Debbie Rodriguez (Bob Rodriguez) and Marlene Brandt (Barry Brandt) and her grandchildren: Brian Tepper (Josh Baena), Randi Tepper (Dan Melamed), Casey Tepper (Ross Gordon), Michael Trujillo (Melissa Trujillo), William Trujillo (Danielle Trujillo), Alex Rodriguez (Christina Rebik), and Juliana Rodriguez. Merry took immense pride in her great-grandchildren: Ayla, Vance, Sabrina, Charlotte, Dorothy, Ari, Micah, Romi, and Avery.

Merry was a fierce advocate for education and worked as a grade school teacher. She led her classes on field trips that showcased nearly every corner of New York and New Jersey, believing in the importance of broadened horizons, exploration, and creativity. She was a world traveler and visited more countries than one could count. Long after her formal teaching career was over, she continued to advocate for the transformative power of education, writing, self-expression, and the richness of global experiences.

Merry loved the ocean, gardening, reading, solving mysteries, art-collecting, humor (and what she coined “joke time”), a perfectly cooked steak, and writing letters to her family. May her memory be a blessing.

A funeral service for Meredith will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11AM at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. The family will be receiving friends from 10:15AM-10:45AM. The burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Dr, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095.

The family will receive visitors that evening for Shiva at the home of Marlene and Barry Brandt, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Please contact the funeral home for additional details.
