Pia Maria Schönbächler-Corte

(“FOLLICLE ENGINEER”)

of West Orange, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

She was 83.

She was born in Einsiedeln, Switzerland in 1940 and she came to the USA In 1960.

She began working at a Beauty salon washing customer's hair. She then went on to become one of the top Hair Stylists in the area and continued working into her 80’s.

She owned Corte Beauty Salon and worked at Salon D’or and Capelli e’ Mane.

She had some customers that were with her for over 50 years and SHE NEVER MISSED A DAY OF WORK IN ALL OF THOSE 50 YEARS

Pia was an avid Golfer and was a member of Brooklake Country Club for over 4 decades. She was famous for her yodeling and once got out of a speeding ticket by yodeling for the policeman.

Surviving is her long-time partner of 39 years, Nick Mancini and his daughter, Jayme Ann Mancini-Salimbene, along with her Husband, Tom and their four children, Alexiss, Kate, Ava and Karleigh.

Immediate family located here in the USA: Monique Walker (Jack-Deceased) Wyatt and his son Wade, Clint and his son Cole, Ekho and her husband Matt Carter and their children-AshLyn and Easten

Other immediate family: Anita Schönbächler, Silvia Schönbächler-Erb, Otmar Schönbächler, Edgar Schönbächler, predeceased by: Beda Schönbächler (Father), Rosa Schönbächler (Mother), Beda Schönbächler (Brother), Erna Schönbächler (Sister), Rosely Schönbächler (Sister), Eric Schönbächler (Brother) along with the many cousins, nieces and nephews that she leaves behind and loved.
