

Born and raised in Newark, Rosalie attended South Side High School and the Essex County Adult Technical School, employed as a medical secretary until she met and soon married (1953) the love of her life Donald Perlmutter.
They moved to Springfield where Rosalie devoted her life to her husband and children.
Rosalie's kind heartedness was evident in her generous and tireless dedication to helping family and friends.
Rosalie extended her generosity to include actively supporting Temple Beth Ahm where she served as President of the Sisterhood and was also honored as the Woman of the Year.
Rosalie leaves a long list of cherished family members, dear friends and many acquaintances who all knew her for her ceaseless smile and good humor.
She was an eternal optimist who saw good in all and never gave up in the face of obstacles placed in her path.
Rosalie will be deeply missed by all that had the good fortune to know her.
Predeceased by her parents, Ben and Frieda, her husband, Donald (2002), her grandson Joseph Perlmutter (2005), and her brother Nathaniel Gelber (2018), Rosalie is survived by her loving children; son Ken, daughter Debbie (Michael) Granat, grandchildren Rebecca (Dan) Perlmutter, Hannah (Cole) Fisher, grandchildren Jessica and Jeffrey (Kathryn) Granat and great grandchildren Nora and Zoe Fisher, and her devoted caretaker, Audrey (Deon) Johnson.
A funeral service for Rosalie will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. Following the funeral service will be a burial at 12:30 PM at B'nai Abraham Memorial Park, 2600 US Rt. 22 E, Union, NJ 07083.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation of America, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), or a charity of your choice.
