Dr. Samuel Klugman passed away in Boynton Beach, Fla. on October 28 at the age of 96. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Joseph and Ida. Samuel graduated from NYU School of Dentistry in 1947.
He went on to serve his country in the Korean War as a dentist stationed at the American Hospital in Paris France where he eventually met Josette Doussau a nurse at the hospital who would later become his wife.
He and Josette raised 3 children, Margaret, Ellen and David. Samuel lived and maintained a dental practice in Kenilworth, NJ, retiring in 1992 after 45 years in practice. He was an active dental attending at The Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for over 30 years,where he mentored dental residents.
The family moved to Livingston, NJ in 1968 where he and Josette remained until moving and splitting their time between West Orange and Boynton Beach Fla.
Samuel is predesceased by his daughter Margaret and his wife Josette. He is survived by his daughter Ellen Klugman Lance and her husband Paul, as well as his son David, wife Karen and their 3 children Andrew, Casey and Remy.
