To the Ludwig Family/Friends, I am very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Ludwig was a special woman who was very generous, kind and hospitable.  She spent many years as an educator and part of this involved telling her story/that of her family 's with respect to the Holocaust. May her memory be a blessing and prayers to her family/all who knew her- Ralph 

I was just speaking about Sarah the other day about being a very young Holocaust survivor and have a nice memory of my mom, nanny Rose, Billy, and her sitting around at family circles over 50 years ago!  Always so young and pretty.  I’m very sorry to hear of this sad news!  My condolences to Billy and the family!

I met Sarah at Walton High School in the Bronx, NY. We remained friends, married and lost touch for a while. But we met again in New Jersey. I am so saddened by her passing, but her Nashuma has certainly gone to Hashem.


I am saddened to learn of the passing of one of my sons’ favorite teachers. Both of my sons ( Eric and Stephen) had Mrs. Ludwig as their teacher at The Hebrew Academy in Randolph. I remember fondly how lovingly she taught my sons and how they adored her. She was quite an inspiration. 

I just read the article about her being in the picture of children liberated from Auschwitz. I was trying to find out her contact information but to no avail. I am so very sorry that I wasn’t able to tell her what a great influence she was and how loved she was by our family. 

My grandson attends Temple Beth Shalom preschool as my oldest son lives in Livingston. If only we knew she was in the same town 😢

May Mrs. Ludwig’s memory be for a blessing. Rest in eternal peace. 

So sorry to hear about the passing of Sarah.  We worked together at The Hebrew Academy and she was a wonderful friend.  Her legacy as an amazing educator will live on.  She was a classy lady and also had a great sense of humor.  She would often bring her students into the library and her support was greatly appreciated.  She also was so proud and had such deep love for her family.  She will be missed by so many who loved her.

On behalf of my family, please accept our sincere condolences. Sarah and I taught for many many many years together at Temple Beth Shalom, and she taught my children. I have always admired her, with great respect. She was classy and knowledgeable, kind and patient. May love-filled memories bring sweet peace to your hearts. I will never forget her, nor her story. Her legacy will live on.
