
Sharon Borger of Rockaway, New Jersey born on April 24th, 1937, peacefully passed away on December 31st, 2023. She was widowed by her high school sweetheart and husband of 34 years Donald Borger. Sharon is survived by their three loving children, Judy Borger-Greenberg, her partner Gary Romein, Steven Borger, and Joan Schlachter, along with her cherished son-in-law Scott Schlachter and sister Elaine Zirulnick.
Sharon’s life was marked by her dedication to family and community. As a dental hygienist, she brightened countless smiles with her gentle care. Her commitment extended beyond the dental office, as she was an active member of ORT, White Meadow Temple Sisterhood, and Hadassah. She cherished her time with family and numerous friends both in New Jersey and Florida.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Norman Katowitz.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Daniel Greenberg and wife Diana, Spencer Greenberg and wife Aimee, Sydney Hutto and husband Nathan and youngest granddaughter Carlie Schlachter. Sharon was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Connor Greenberg and Remi Hutto, and many nieces and nephews.
Sharon’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to White Meadow Lake Temple, continuing Sharon’s spirit of giving.
Graveside services were held at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
