Shirley was raised in Newark but spent most of her life in West Orange. She was a stay-at-home Mom until her girls were in high school. She then began working at the Jewish Community Center Metro West as the Membership Secretary. She loved working there and everybody there loved her. She worked for over 25 years and did not retire until she was in her eighties. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Milton in 1982. Surviving are her twin daughters, Marcia Levinson and her husband Ira, and Hilary Feinberg and her husband Paul, 4 grandchildren Debbie, Lauren, David, and Michael, and 7 great-grandchildren Max, Cooper, Harper, Eli, Logan, Hope, and Remi.
Funeral Services will be conducted from the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd, Livingston, NJ, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin.
