I was so sorry to read of Thelma’s death! My mother, Ruth Robbins, loved her! They  were great friends , and graduated high school together! Both attended many reunions together! A  serious loss!

Thelma Purdy was a brilliant, kind, generous, hard-working, thoughtful powerhouse of a woman with a great sense of humor. I had the great honor of working alongside Thelma for a number of years at the JCC. I learned so much just by watching her. Thelma was clearly the intellectual and moral center of  the Senior Adult program at the JCC in Edison. Everyone loved her!
It gives me great comfort to think that Thelma and her beloved husband, Art,  will be holding hands once again.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Purdy’s passing.  What a life she lived and what a legacy she leaves behind.  May her memory always be a blessing to all who knew her.

I am so sorry to hear of Thelma’s passing. She
was a wonderful, loving person. We worked together on Temple Beth O’r’s Hebrew School   Program. Thelma was so intelligent, so smart, so kind and so caring. She loved her Temple Beth O’r family and we loved her. She was relentless in her work to support the temple in every way. Thelma and her dear husband Arthur were really the Matriarch and Patriarch of Temple Beth O’r and we owe them a tremendous sense of gratitude and love for their endless devotion to our temple and the families in it. She will be forever remembered as an angel on this Earth.
