

Born in Newark to the late Philomena (nee Bruno) and Antonio Bonavita, he lived in Bloomfield for 53 years before moving to Brick just last year.
Ugo served in the Army during the Korean War earning the rank of Corporal. His career as a machinist with Western Electric in Kearny and CTC Corp in Fairfield spanned over 50 years before his retirement 20 years ago.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Angela (nee Farrace) Bonavita and a brother, Americo Bonavita.
He is survived by his loving children, Luann Carrione and husband Richard and Anthony M. Bonavita and wife Paula; dear sister in law Josephine Bonavita; cherished grandchildren, Richard L. Carrione and wife Amanda, Jerrilyn DiMaio and husband David, Danielle DeStefano and husband Christopher, and Anthony M. Bonavita, Jr.; and adored great grandchildren Ryder and Hunter DiMaio.
Visitation will take place at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 5-8 pm.
The funeral will commence with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 9:15 am followed by the interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
