

Andrew John Wlosinski, known affectionately as Andy, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on September 2, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, Andy was the cherished son of Louis and Catherine Wlosinski.
Andy was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie and his siblings: John (Stella), Stanley (Marie), Joseph (Stella), Louise (Edgar), Mary (Joseph), Lottie (Robert), Edward, Louis Jr. (Angeline), and Henry. He is survived by his dear brother Walter (the late Delphine), as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Andy proudly served his country as a helicopter mechanic in the United States Marines during the Korean War. Following his service, he devoted many years to his faith as a devoted parishioner of St. Colette Parish in Livonia.
A man of many passions, Andy found joy in the companionship of horses and horse racing. He also took great pride in tending to his lawn and flowers, and he delighted in feeding the birds and rabbits that frequented his yard. Although he did not have children of his own, Andy was deeply involved in the lives of his great niece Michelle and great nephew Erik , whom he loved as if they were his own.
Andy’s presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with an in-state period beginning at 9:30 AM, at St. Colette Parish in Livonia. Andy will be laid to rest with honor at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
