

Annette D. Tuer, age 72, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. Annette was born May 12, 1949 to John and Clara Herman. She was the third born in a family of ten children and the oldest girl. She often helped her mom take care of her younger siblings and was admired by them all.
After graduating salutatorian of her class at Felician Academy, she began working in the office of the Fisher Body Division at General Motors. She was transferred to Detroit Diesel Engine Division, where she met her future husband while pretending to know how to play tennis. She married Robert Tuer on November 24, 1973. Together they had four children in five years. She loved raising her children and worked many part-time jobs to provide the extra things that the kids would enjoy like a trip to Disney World and an inground swimming pool in the yard. Annette loved throwing parties at the house and entertaining everyone. All her siblings, nieces, and nephews have fond memories of the Polka music and fun that was had in the Tuer backyard.
Annette was very hard-working and had recently put together a list of all the jobs that she had over the years. At times, she would work three or four different part-time jobs, partly to buy the extra things that she wanted and partly because she loved meeting new people. In total, Annette worked at 41 different jobs in her lifetime.
She was blessed with nine grandchildren with whom she loved spending time. Annette was always ready with candy and a funny story whenever her grandkids came to visit. She will be missed greatly by her family.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Herman, and her brother, John Paul Herman.
Annette is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert Tuer. She is also survived by her children, Andrea (Kurt) Widener, Kristen (Brian) Eichert, Colleen (Timothy) Kibin, and David (Lynne) Tuer, as well as her grandchildren Jamie Eichert, Rachel Eichert, Jonah Kibin, Matthew Tuer, Gabriel Kibin, Ashley Tuer, Charlotte Widener, Andrew Tuer, and William Widener. Her surviving siblings are Dennis (Carol) Herman, Andrew (Sally) Herman, Mark (Judy) Herman, Kevin (Annette) Herman, Mary Ellen (Douglas-deceased) Zwirner, Philip (Linda-deceased) Herman, Celeste Herman, and Josette (Mark) English. She also has many nieces and nephews who will miss her very much.
A visitation for Annette will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A funeral in state will occur Monday, January 31, 2022 at 9:00 AM at St Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48152 with a funeral mass at 9:30 AM.
