In loving memory of “Betty,” a dear wife, mother, and grandmother who passed away April 20, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born October 28, 1925 in Detroit, MI to Frank and Pauline (Papke) Cerveny. On July 3rd, 1944, she married the love of her life, Earl R. Larsen. Together they raised two sons, Gary and Lary. Her passion for art, baking and fishing are all traditions that will continue with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Nothing brought her more happiness than a visit or a phone call from one of them.
Betty is survived by her sons: Gary (Cindy) of Saline, MI., Lary (Cheryl) of Lake Bluff, IL. Grandchildren: Kate Larsen of Chicago IL, Jennie Larsen of Chicago, IL., Lindsay (Peter Scherf) Larsen, of Minneapolis, MN., Dr. Kelsey Larsen, of Orlando, FL., Kyle (Dr. Courtney Walker) Larsen, of Pittsburgh, PA.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, her brothers, Frank Cerveny, Edward Cerveny, Donald Cerveny, Alvin Cerveny and two sisters, Marian Bloeser and twin Bernice "Dolly" Atkins
The family is grateful for the care Betty received from StoryPoint of Saline. Cremation has taken place and due to Michigan leading the nation in COVID cases, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
