Bernadine E. Jenereaux, 98, passed away peacefully Saturday - April 24, 2021. Bernadine was born on January 11, 1923 in Detroit to Frank and Anna (nee: Gloede) Selinsky, the youngest of their six children. She graduated from St. Ann Catholic High School in 1940. She started working as an Information Operator for Michigan Bell after high school, interrupted her career to raise her eight children and then returned to Michigan Bell from which she retired in 1989. Bernadine loved to sing and was a choir member at St. Eugene Catholic Church. She was also a member of the McKenny Choristers. Bernadine enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and most importantly her monthly get-together with her sisters and sisters-in-law. This monthly meeting group was self-proclaimed, "The Martha's" and all of their combined 38 children adhered to their strictly enforced do not disturb request during meeting times. During her retirement she spent many evenings with her peers at the Senior Citizen Friendship Station in Plymouth Township where playing cards and socializing were the main events. Bernadine's truest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially during the holidays when her house would be bursting at the seams with fun, food, laughter and love.
Bernadine is survived by her children, Jenny (Dave) Bossory, Jim (Judy) Jenereaux, Mary (the late Paul) Ditzel, Jill Pazolka, Joyce Jenereaux, Jack (Gail) Jenereaux, Joanie (Doug) Fansler and Bob Jenereaux; grandchildren, Nikki (Ken) Kur, Jill (Ben) Bellomo, Jeff Bossory, Amy Jenereaux, Jimmy Jenereaux, Todd Jenereaux, Bethany Ditzel, Kurt (Julia) Ditzel, Brian (Naomi) Pazolka, David (Jessica) Pazolka, Lauren Pilarski, Matthew (Catherine Evans) Pilarski, Katie Jenereaux, Willie Jenereaux, Christie Jenereaux, Ryan Fansler, Kelly (Ryan) Falcheck, Karen (Kevin) Jammer, and Joe Jenereaux; great-grandchildren, Grant, Maya, McKenzie, Aaron, Van, Phillip, Isla, Isabella, Scarlett, James, Henry, Benjamin, and Elliott.
