Beverly Ann Klarr passed peacefully at home on February 4th after a long illness. She was born on June 6th, 1954, in Detroit. She was the cherished wife of Jerry for almost 48 years, who she met in a philosophy class at Schoolcraft College. She went on to get her degree in Criminal Justice at Wayne State University. She was the beloved mother of Lisa and April and the proud grandmother of Mackenzie. Beverly had a large heart; as seen when helping homeless families with shelter or using an inheritance to buy hundreds of winter coats donated to Detroit shelters.
She enjoyed playing tennis and volleyball, biking, and participating in nature activities like bird watching and camping at Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Pinery, and Cape Cod to name a few. She had a passion for crafts and antiques and collected many during her travels throughout the US and Europe.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents Richard and Dolores Gibson and her brother Richard. She is survived by her sister Mary, brothers-in-law Alan, Lee, and Jack, sisters-in-law Susanne, Judy, and Janine, cousins Peter and Nancy, nieces Angelina, Juliet, and Bryanna, nephews Rick, Ken, Dan, Tom, Joe, Jared, Dylan, Gunnar, and Gannon, great-niece Josie, and son-in-law Chris.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 8th at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00am-3:00pm with a funeral service at 3:00pm. A livestream of the service will be available.
