Brenda K. Heppner

Loving mother to Kellie Dummer (Eric), Chad Heppner, and step-mother to Brent Heppner (Gail). Grandmother to Ben, Sam, Colby, Paige, Jenna, Meghan, and Randy. She is also survived by her brothers, Dennis and Wayne Copeland.

Brenda worked for State Farm Insurance for many years, starting in the mail room and working her way up to manager before her retirement in 2006. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her friends on cruises and all around the United States. She loved spending time with all her grandkids, taking them on trips, having them spend the night, and attending their sports activities. She also spent countless hours volunteering at the Detroit Zoo as a docent in the Polar Bear exhibit.

Brenda was also known to spend her free time doing crafts, ALL the crafts. She loved to cross-stitch, paint, make cards, and scrapbook. Over her years of scrapbooking, she completed over 40 scrapbooks of her grandkids, her trips with friends, and her beloved zoo animals. Most recently, she enjoyed spending time with her new friends at The American House playing cards, listening to music, and, you guessed it, doing crafts.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, July 11, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory are appreciated to the Detroit Zoological Society.
