

Colleen Claudette Schou (née Bodak), age 90, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Livonia, Michigan. Born on November 23, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, Colleen lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family.
Colleen was the beloved wife of Kenneth Schou, with whom she shared nearly 70 years of marriage—a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful family that brought her immense joy and pride. She is survived by her children Todd (Mary) Schou, Glenn (Sue) Schou, and Kendra (Dan) Rawls; her brother Larry Bodack; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Violet Bodak; her daughter Susan Urben; her grandson Bryan Urben; and her granddaughter Megan Urben.
A devoted Catholic, Colleen was a parishioner of St. Aidan Parish in Livonia since 1977. Her faith was central to her life, and she was deeply involved in parish activities over the years. Her dedication to her church community reflected her kind and giving spirit.
Colleen had a passion for painting and gardening, pursuits that brought beauty into the lives of those around her. Whether tending to her garden or creating art with a brush in hand, she found joy in these creative outlets. Her talents were matched only by the warmth she shared as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
Her legacy is one of love and care—a life well-lived in service to others and guided by faith. May Colleen’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
A viewing will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia Michigan on Thursday, March 26 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Aidan's Church 17500 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan, with an In State from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. A prayer service at her final resting place will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Park, 35667 Eight Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan.
