Dale was a remarkable man, and a man of great intelligence. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and he truly enjoyed life. He was a humble man and a very proud man at the same time, for he accomplished much in his active life of 74 years. He was blessed with artistic talent and, inheriting this skill, and the family Dental Laboratory, from his father and grandfather before him, Dale became one of the finest Dental Technicians to ever work in that field. He worked hard, and he produced beautiful work for over 50 years before he had to quit. Many people alive today are still smiling proudly because of Dale’s skill and talent. When his father died Dale took over the business and hired his brother Mark when Mark graduated high school, and together they worked side by side for 30 years. Dale was a great conversationalist, as his friends and family would attest to, and he had many deep and thoughtful views and feelings on a great variety of subjects, from the simplest things to very complex things. He could converse with anyone on anything, for he seemed to know a great deal of just about anything one could imagine. He possessed a wonderful mind. Although he was a complex man in a variety of ways, to everyone who knew and loved him he was a very down to earth man and simply a joy t o be around. Dale loved a great many things; nature, anything having to do with being outdoors, hunting and fishing especially, science, outer space and all of its mysteries, playing pool, cooking, and simply being with people while enjoying all of those things, but his favorite hobby was reading books. Dale was a voracious reader of all kinds of books on many different subjects, fiction or non-fiction, history, science, science fiction, and so much more. Above all else, he loved his family and his friends, of which he had many. Dale was an easygoing man and very likable, a very easy man to make friends with, and once you were his friend his loyalty to you never wavered. He was also one of the most kind and thoughtful individuals you would ever likely encounter.
Dale left this mortal life in peace while sleeping on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He is missed greatly and will always be cherished by his loving sister Kay (Clark) Stone, his dearest brother Mark, his adored niece Sherri (John) Blue and their wonderful boys, Michael and Alec, and his equally adored niece Julie (Paul Cornillie) Rogers and their wonderful children; Brendan, Austin, Sean, and Megan. Dale loved all of his friends and everyone in his family, and he took special joy through his life in seeing his nieces grow up, have families of their own, and then watch all of their children grow up to be the fine adults they are today. He cherished the time he had with his family and everyone else during his final days. Many wonderful long time friends also spent time with Dale near the end and he enjoyed that so much. Dale had made peace with leaving this world, and his last days were filled with happiness, good memories, and laughter, with his family and his friends. Now he has gone, to whatever lies beyond, and we sense that it is good, for Dale’s presence remains with us and we sense that he is happy, and all is good. An active, full, and well-lived life this wonderful man had, and we are all so very grateful that he was a part of our lives as well. Sleep well dear Dale…. sleep well.
