Preceded in death by father Frank Korzym.
Survived by wife Dorothy Korzym; son Dr. Derek Korzym, MD.; mother Rita; siblings Ken and Dan; brother-in-law Dennis; sister-in-law Danita and Darice Weber.
Darrell married Dorothy on June 21, 1980 at St. John Bosco in Redford, MI. He belonged to the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, K of C (past Grand Knight), usher at St Edith, Boy Scout Leader, and Lawrence Tech Alumni.
Darrell received his bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Engineering degree from Lawrence Tech University. He spent ten years as a Mechanical Engineer in Alloy and Casting for Howmet Corporation. Darrell retired after 25 years as a Mechanical Engineer for Ford Motor Company in Casting and Powertrain. He has received numerous awards for design and casting while at Ford Motor Company.
A visitation for Darrell will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152 with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral in state will occur Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48154 with a funeral mass at 10:30 AM.
