David Dennis Constantino

David Dennis Constantino, age 56, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021. David was born December 30, 1964 to Dennis and Cindy Constantino.

David is survived by his wife Tammie; children Mya and Brendan; parents Dennis and Cindy; and brother Darren.

David was preceded in death by his first son Kyle.

As a young man, Dave played drums in a band. He often talked about his "band days" and how much fun and work it was. When he wasn't playing, he was the band's videographer. For our family, he was the official photographer. Dave had a passion "keeping the memories".

He and Tammie married in 1994. Their first son, Kyle went to live with God when he was three weeks old. Their second child, Mya, was born during the hockey season when the Redwings went to win the Cup. Brendan is the youngest. He was given his father's first name as his middle name, just like Dave's middle name was his father's first name.

Dave was proud to have earned his builder's license. He worked in construction and did a bit of everything. He was a kitchen and carpet installer, a painter and did building maintenance. He worked on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, floors, drywall, and so much more. Dave loved passing on those skills to his children while working on home projects. Even after Dave suffered a stroke while on the job, it didn't get him down.

Dave loved his models of Marvel, DC Comics and created many characters out of resin. His first love was the band KISS. He talked about how it was his first concert, and he was hooked. He made sure that the kids' first concert was KISS.

Going to church with the family was a time Dave felt close to God. He always received communion, it was important to him. He also volunteered at the church when needed. Dave was a humble man that was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Dave persevered and overcame so many challenges. He will be remembered as a loving man that devoted his life to his family. Especially his children. He will be greatly missed.

A funeral in state for David will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 34567 W Seven Mile Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48152, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers because of allergies in the family, memorial contributions in David's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Cards and letters of condolences are also appropriate.
