I had the pleasure of meeting Dave a few years ago through a business venture between our companies.  He was a true gentleman and was a great inspiration for me. He will be missed.

I AM ONE OF  THE TENANTS IN THE ALETHA APARTMENTS.  WHEN I FIRST MEET DAVE I THOUGHT HE WAS THE MOST GENEROUS AND NICE PERSON YOU WOULD WANT TO MEET .   I WAS TRULY IMPRESSED WITH THE STORY BEHIND THE BUILDING OF THE APARTMENT (I HAD JUST PURCHASED MY MOTHER A CAR) SO I KNEW HIS HEART . YOU CAN'T REALLY SAY  THAT WHEN MEETING SOMEONE FOR THE FIRST  TIME, BUT HIS SMILE CAME THRU LIKE A CANDLE SHINING BRIGHT.  I WILL MISS HIS SMILE.  GOD BLESSED YOU WITH A MAN WHOM HAD A HEART AND SENSE OF HUMOR.

Dear Karen and the Phipps Family,  
Elaine and I extend our sincere condolences to you and the Phipps clan.  It was a special friendship that began years ago in high school and lasted a lifetime between three Daves.  It was a true blending of common interests and experiences that always ended with good memories that lasted all these years.  Our only regrets was as the years passed we did not gather as frequently,  but we stayed in touch.
We hope Dave is recognized by others for his contribution to the growth and developement of our hometown.  He, and others, saw the need and opportunity for a rural undeveloped area to grow and become one of the states finest communities.   
May your remaining years be filled with these remembrances of his accomplishments.   Most important, we will remember his lifetime devotion as a friend, as a father, as a grampa, and as a husband.

I always said David  was born 40 years old, let me explain.  We are both the same age and when we were in the 10th grade at Bentley High School David received two tickets to the Mort Neff Sportsman Banquet in Detroit, he invited me to go with him.  He was dressed in his usual dress flannel shirt, I think I had on a sport coat and tie.  We arrived at the Banquet center and shown to the table.  The waiter asked David if he would like a beer, and then asked what will the boy have?   We have laughed about that for years.  I'm going to miss you old friend.

I had the honor and privilege to be hired by Dave a little over a year ago to work at Aletha Apartments.   He would come in almost every day with a great big smile, a joke and kind words.   Everyone coming in would praise these beautiful apartments and Dave would share stories of growing up and attending Bentley right down the street.   He was bigger than life.  I'm so grateful for the opportunity to work for and know such a wonderful,  down-to-earth, fabulous human being.  Rest in peace,  boss.  We'll miss you SOOOOOO!

It was an honor and a privilege to work for such a great man. My father did work for Dave nearly 50 years ago, and my brothers and I  were lucky enough to continue that relationship with Dave throughout the years working with him ( literally him working on the dozer) up to present day. He will be greatly missed.

The world has lost a huge force in the passing of Dave.   I had the honor to work with Dave we’re he shared his wisdom and taught me skills that I will use for the rest of my life.   I will miss the good story’s, the many laughs, and seeing Dave on the dozer.   Sending all my love to the family. Dave will be missed greatly but never ever forgotten.   

Dave and my father Kal Jabara were best  friends and business partners since the mid 1960's. Over the years they became as close as brothers and did so much together. When they were young, every fall they went to Canada to moose hunt and fish.  Dave was a great story teller and I loved hearing  about those adventures and close encounters they had in the wilderness.

Dave was a large figure in my life as I grew up and was someone I  respected and admired. He had super abilities, he was honest as the day is long, and had a great sense of humor.

In the last couple years Dave took the time to meet with me and my sons to  get through some family business after my father passed. I cannot say enough about how we appreciate him for that and how much he and my sons enjoyed talking together.

Dave was a Great Man,  and great friend to my family.  We loved him and will miss him dearly.

Dave was without a doubt, one of a kind. In his trademark flannel and khakis and always sparkly clean F150. But more importantly, he was a great man, one of the best, without a doubt. I always enjoyed seeing him in the bank,  a lot of times saying something funny or cracking a joke with such a smooth delivery which made it even funnier! I will truly miss him. He is one of my favorites and always will be. I'm lucky to have known him as long as I have and most certainly will never forget him.  
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the viewing but please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
