Diana Elizabeth (Aiuto) Balmforth of Livonia, MI, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 under the loving care of her family and Angela Hospice. She was born April 3, 1942 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Philip and Antoinette (Tiseo) Aiuto and the sibling of Phyllis (Don), Vincenza Mueller, Rosario Aiuto (Kelly) and Cathy Kingsley (Arthur).
Diana was united in marriage to Donald Balmforth on May 26, 1962, and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2016. Her beloved daughter, Dawn, also preceded her to Heaven on October 31, 2021.
Those treasuring Diana’s memory include her three sons, Philip (Phyllis Anne), John, and Michael (Helen), son in law Ken Royal, as well as nine grandchildren Emily, Christopher, Ben, Scott, Alex, Philip Jr., Isabel, Jack, Matthew, and one great-grandson, Thomas, plus countless cousins, paesanos and friends.
After raising her family, Diana started her working career with several companies including Case, NGK Locke, and AG Simpson. She retired in 2007 and then really went to work. Bowling leagues, shopping at TJ’s, card clubs, casino Windsor visits, Tiseo picnic planning, family dinners, consignment shopping, Rosary High School reunion committee, California and Vegas trips, nothing could slow her down. Her boundless energy earned her the nickname “The Energizer Bunny.” Her enthusiasm and zest for life will be her legacy.
