Earl C. Milligan

He now joins in eternal rest his three siblings, Charles, Norman (Dale), and Leroy, as well as his beloved wife, Marlene “Tater” Milligan, with whom he shared many wonderful years.

Earl was an active and valued member of the Pioneer Club, where he formed lasting friendships and made meaningful contributions to his community. He was a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions, and an avid golfer who proudly celebrated the rare achievement of three holes-in-one. Earl was fond of taking trips to the casino, where he liked trying his luck at the slot machines. Any winnings he received were often spent generously on his family, treating them to sporting events or special evenings out. He took great pride in his grandchildren; whether it was cheering the boys on at their hockey games or watching Kayla & Nolan perform in their marching bands during football games!

He will be deeply missed by his loving family: his daughter, Lisa Loerlein; his cherished granddaughter, Kayla (Loerlein) Setser and her husband, John Setser; his grandsons, Brennan Loerlein and Nolan Loerlein; and his precious great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn Setser.

Earl will be remembered for his quick wit, his gift for storytelling, his candid and often humorous opinions, and his well-known rule that no meal was ever complete without dessert.

Funeral Visitation will be held at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. There will be a memorial luncheon following services to continue sharing stories and memories of Earl's life.

Earl will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, 35667 Eight Mile Road, Livonia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society – Westland Berman Center for Animal Care.

Earl will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
