Elaine Mae Fortin was born September 25, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to Wilbert and Effie Klarr. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fred Fortin as well as her parents. She is survived by her children Darleen (James) Smith, Gary (Lynn), James and Ron Fortin. She is the grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She will be remembered as the Detroit Red Wings #1 fan.
Friends may visit Elaine's family on Friday February 10, 2012 from 4 pm until 9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152. Her funeral ceremony will be on Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home. Harry J. Will is located on the north side of W. Six Mile, east of I-275 and Newburgh Roads.
Elaine will be laid to rest with Fred following her committal service at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Troy, Michigan. The cemetery is located on the south side of W. Long Lake Road at the corner of Crooks Road.
Elaine's family asks that memorials be made in her honor to the Red Cross.
