

Eric was born on July 9, 1963, in New Albany, Indiana, to Karl and Jeanne Bell, who preceded him in death. From an early age, Eric carried a strong sense of duty and pride, qualities that defined his life and service.
Eric honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years. He was deeply proud of his military career and the brotherhood it brought him. Continuing his commitment to service, Eric was a dedicated member of the Military Order of the Cootie, where he served as Supreme Commander and was also a Past District 4 Commander.
On October 29, 2009, Eric married the love of his life, Katherine, with whom he shared many cherished years. Eric was an avid outdoorsman who found joy and peace in hunting and fishing, passions that reflected his love for nature and the outdoors.
Eric leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Katherine; his children, Ryan (Jackie), Wayne, Ashley (Nick), and Anton; and his six treasured grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Colleen (Frank) and Jenny, along with many extended family members, friends, and fellow servicemen who will miss him dearly.
Eric Stefan Bell will be remembered for his unwavering patriotism, leadership, loyalty, and love for his family. His legacy of service and devotion will live on in all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, located at 37000 W Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152, on January 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The committal service will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442, on February 2, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
A memorial gathering is scheduled at VFW Post 1136, 633 Ford Ave, Wyandotte, MI 48192, on February 22, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 pm.
