What an honor and privilege to have been maid of honor for your 50th wedding anniversary and renewal of your vows with Father Jack. Father Jack will now be officiating at your funeral service as requested. Another circle of life and love will be completed. You united both sides of your family and we are forever grateful to have been part of that circle for so many years. We have warm memories and even warmer emotions as we recollect all the Christmas and Fourth of July celebrations you and Aunt Mary Ellen hosted: years of "razzing"  at the bar built by both yourself and brother-in-law, Ernie; all the polkas, tangos, and foxtrots danced to the tunes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennet, and Elvis Presley, the "How low can you go?" limbo competition, the infamous luau co-hosted with Aunt Max,  and the traditional dishes our Aunt Mary faithfully prepared (and can never quite be replicated), that are now legendary. Even more legendary is the love shared by you and Aunt Mary.  You have given us something remarkable to strive for in our own lives. We pray that you  and Aunt Mary are together again and in the company of all those you have loved and missed. Finally, we pray you and Aunt Mary Ellen will be there to greet us when it is our turn to join you. It hurts knowing we won't be able to phone and speak with you any more...we never ran out of topics to discuss and gossip to share...we will continue  communicating with you in our minds and hearts. My sweet Uncle Gene, my mother's baby brother.  A classy uncle, whose heart for my Aunt Mary knew every height and depth of true love; a handsome uncle whose smile would brighten every face; a dear uncle whom we will miss.  Your life's song played sweetly. We love you Uncle Gene and Aunt Mary and see the promise of holding hands once again. 

My Uncle Eugene was a amazing man and Uncle. When I was about 5 or 6 years old and They had a pool. I went and jumped in not knowing how to swim. I went straight to the bottom. Uncle Eugene ran and jumped in the pool after me and saved me from drowning. He has always been there when you need him. He would give you the world if he could. I will miss him dearly . I will remember all the great times we had. I Love You Uncle Eugene. You will be missed.
