F. Harold ("Hal") Schroeder was born a triplet on December 19, 1927 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and died on March 10, 2022 in Plymouth, Michigan. He was with his immediate family and friends when he passed. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, daughters Susan and Karen (Tom Bedell) and grandsons Thomas Aaron Bedell (Shirley) and Adam James Bedell (Teryn).
Hal was raised in Rogers City, Michigan. He served in the United States Navy and, upon his honorable discharge, earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. He worked for the Department of the Interior and performed research in the wilds of Alaska for 6 months, studying the health of fish populations. Hal was an avid outdoorsman and supporter of the environment. He loved fishing and hunting and, over the years, made two more trips to Alaska to fish.
Hal was a faithful husband to his wife, Shirley, a wonderful father to his daughters, Susan and Karen, a loving grandfather to his grandsons, Aaron and Adam, and a true friend to those who knew him. Hal was kind to any and all he met. For all these reasons, he will be greatly missed by us all.
