Flora Norville, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on September 8, 1933, in Crockett County, Tennessee, to James and Hattie (Owns) Blair, Flora lived a life defined by selflessness, kindness, and love for others.
Flora was a caring and generous soul who always put others before herself. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, cherishing every moment shared together—whether during quiet evenings or joyful lake days filled with boating, laughter, and memories. Flora also enjoyed snowmobiling in the North and had a lifelong love for bowling.
Her deep and active faith was a guiding force in her life. A dedicated member of the Garden City Church of Christ, she served her church community with commitment and grace, exemplifying her love for God through her actions and spirit.
Flora leaves behind her beloved husband, Larry, and their three children: Phil (Janice) Norville, Larry Kimbal (Enola) Norville, and Steve (Penny) Norville. She was a proud and loving grandmother to nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her eight siblings, all of whom she carried in her heart.
Flora's legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Memorial contributions in Flora’s honor may be made to her church, Garden City Church of Christ or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
