Frank leaves behind his beloved wife, Lorrine "Lorrie," with whom he shared 47 and a half wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving and devoted father to Sarah (Joseph Bowman) Koitek and a cherished grandpa to Cheyenne and Christian Bowman. Frank was a dear brother to Christine Kelly and a proud uncle to Andrew (Lindsey) Kelly, Eric (Amy) Koitek, Michael (Kathy) Koitek, and Tracey (Joey) Echols. He is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his dear brother, Dan Koitek.
A proud graduate of Catholic Central High School, Frank continued his education at Michigan State University and Wayne State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He spent many successful years working in the computer and office sales technology industry, where he built lasting professional relationships.
Frank had a deep love for animals, particularly his cats, who were a constant source of companionship and joy. He also adored his granddog, Isabelle, with whom he shared many fond moments.
In his personal life, Frank enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including puttering around in the yard, playing solitaire, and, of course, his undying support for the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings—no matter their record. Frank was an avid traveler who spent many cherished vacations with his wife, Lorrie, visiting Europe, exploring National Parks, and even taking his granddaughter on a special trip to Alaska to celebrate her graduation.
Frank will be remembered for his infectious humor and his genuine desire to make others laugh. He had a unique ability to light up a room with his wit and warm presence.
