Frank C. Kulha, 85, of Northville, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Frank was born on July 14, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan the third of four children born to Paul and Mary (nee: Lancos) Kulha. Frank was a graduate of Fordson High School in Dearborn. Right after graduation he started his career in a machine shop and later he became an owner-partner in World Manufacturing, Inc., Multi-matic, and Thread Grinding Company. In addition he was a partner in Cherry Hill Lanes North Bowling Center. When not working Frank enjoyed his passions of fishing, boating, bowling, down-hill skiing, casino trips, and especially spending time with his family on vacations. Some of the favorite family destinations were Cedar Point Amusement Park, Boyne Highlands, Aruba, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
In early 1959, Frank met the love of his life, Carol Susan "Sue" Hochstein, while she was working at the counter of Mercury Lanes in Dearborn, which was owned by her parents. They married at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on November 21, 1959. Together they had six children, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 60+ years, Sue; children, Diane (Dave) Rivard, Jim Kulha, Dailyn Matthews, Christine (Sonny) Burgdorf, and Lisa Sieradski; grandchildren, David Rivard, Marissa (Zac) Boswell, Melissa Rivard, Elizabeth Kangas, Bronte Schmit, Jake Rivard, Mitchell Kangas, Christian Kangas, Kacie Sieradski, Isabel Burgdorf, and Kendall Sieradski; great-grandson, Julien Boswell; siblings, Paul Kulha, MaryAnn Novosad, and Mickey (Gloria) Kulha. Many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family also survive.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his son, Frank, granddaughter, Lindsay Rivard; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kulha; brother-in-law John Novosad.
Friends may visit on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. On Monday, October 11, 2021 visitation continues from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 N Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170. Private cremation will follow Mass.
