Gaspare Campo, a dedicated husband, father, passed away on April 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 28, 1944, in Custonaci, Sicily, Italy, Gaspare was the beloved son of Giovanni and Rosaria (Pellegrino) Campo.
Gaspare was a man of unwavering dedication and hard work. He spent his career as an operating engineer in the construction business, where his commitment to excellence was evident in every project he undertook. Work and family were paramount in Gaspare's life.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Gaspare found joy in his passions. He was particularly proud of his vegetable garden, where he spent much of his time if he wasn’t working. Additionally, Gaspare found pleasure in the pursuits of fishing and hunting.
A proud member of the Italian American Club, Gaspare fostered connections within the community and celebrated his heritage with pride.
In addition to his parents, Gaspare was preceded in death by his two brothers, Vincenzo and Francesco Campo, but leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Campo, and their four children: Lucy (Larry) Cucinella, Gianni (Lacy) Campo, Danny (Chris) Campo, and Gaspare (Tamara) Campo Jr. His nine grandchildren: Olivia (Josh), Jackson (Kelsey), Jordan, Taylor (Jay), Nico, Kendall, Luca, Sergio, and Adriano, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Blake and Luke, will continue to carry his spirit forward.
Memorial contributions in Gaspare’s honor are suggested to IPF – Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis research, a cause near and dear to the family’s heart.
Gaspare Campo will be remembered not only for his tireless work ethic and devotion to his family but also for the kindness and generosity he extended to all who knew him. His legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering dedication will continue to inspire and guide those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing that his memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.
