Hanh was born on October 24, 1942, in Tây Ninh, Vietnam. She met her husband during the Vietnam War, and the two later married and moved to the United States in 1974 with their twin children to begin a new chapter in life. Hanh was the beloved wife of Kenneth Robert Grougan for 56 years. She is survived by her two children, Minh (Sandy) and Phuong (Brian); her grandchildren, Ryan, Emma, and Tai; as well as many nieces and nephews in Vietnam.
Hanh will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness, strength, and generous heart touched everyone who knew her. She worked tirelessly to build a loving home and create a better future for her family while preserving the Vietnamese traditions and values she held dear. Hanh was known for her love of playing bingo on weekends, fishing, and even ice fishing during the winter months. She shared her love through cooking, preparing traditional Vietnamese dishes and her famous egg rolls, which became a cherished part of family gatherings, holidays, and celebrations with friends.
Hanh was of Vietnamese Cao Dai faith, and we pray that her spirit finds peace, light, and serenity.
