

Heather Nicole Brace was born on February 3, 1974, in Columbia, South Carolina, to Barbara and Alan Brace, and passed away on October 28, 2025. Heather was a strong, determined woman whose tenacity and spirit inspired everyone who knew her. She never let much hold her back and faced life’s challenges with courage and grace.
Heather dedicated herself to helping others in many ways throughout her life. Heather had a beautiful smile that she shared with everyone. She worked as a beautician, a special needs paraprofessional, and a barista at Anastasia and Katies Coffee Shop & Café, a role that held special meaning to her because of their mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Heather’s faith was an important part of her life. She was a devoted member of Ward Church and found great strength and purpose in her relationship with God.
She had an adventurous heart and a love for exploring new places, traveling to Canada often and falling in love with the beauty of Alaska. At home, Heather enjoyed cooking and experimenting with recipes, always eager to try something new. She also loved to color and made annual trips to the Renaissance Festival, a tradition she looked forward to each year.
To cherish her memory, Heather leaves behind her loving mother, Barbara; her sister and brother, Kerrie (Doug) Giszczynski and Kevin (Jessica) Brace; and her nieces and nephews, Jacob Giszczynski, Ciera Almanza, Selah Brace, and Holden Brace. She is preceded in death by her father, Alan Brace.
Heather’s kind heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
