Jacqueline Bernadette (Jackie) Cebulskie passed away October 15, 2020 at her home in Northville, Michigan. Jackie Samonie was born October 1, 1936 in Detroit to Jacob and Muna Samonie, the youngest of 8 children. She graduated from St Bernard High School in 1954. On August 25, 1956, she married Craig Joseph Cebulskie at St. Bernard church. The ceremony was performed by Jackie’s brother, Fr. Jacob (Jay) Samonie, who was presiding over his first wedding ceremony after being ordained. Jackie and Craig raised their family in Livonia and later settled in Northville. Jackie is survived by her husband of 64 years Craig Cebulskie, Sr.; sons Craig (Mary) Cebulskie, Jr. Eastpointe, MI, Kevin (Lori) Cebulskie, Orange Park, Florida; daughter, Mona (Lee) Jones, Commerce Township, MI; grandsons Derek McKay, Kurtis McKay, and Troy Jones; granddaughter Erin (Matt) Westerman; great granddaughter Nora Westerman and great grandson Parker Westerman; and one sister, Rose Semain, Santa Anna, California. Jackie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters Marie Hellow, Jenny Latiff, Lillian Simony, Elizabeth (Billie) Nader; and brothers Fr. Jacob (Jay) Samonie, and Anthony (Tony) Samonie. Jackie and Craig attended St. Collette’s Church in Livonia, Michigan. They were founding members of the Songs of Joy guitar and singing group and sang in the group for 45 years. Church and faith were an important part of Jackie’s life. Jackie was known to love the 3 B’s: Bingo, Bowling, and Blackjack. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and crafts of all types. She was an avid and enthusiastic fan of the Detroit Tigers and, especially, the Detroit Lions. She deeply loved Christmas, enthusiastically decorated her home in beautiful fashion for the holiday season and looked forward to spending the holidays with friends and family. True to her giving nature, she put much thought and effort into her gifts for others. Jackie also loved spending time with family at the family cottage in norther Michigan. She especially looked forward to her annual trip to the cottage with her nieces. Jackie will be remembered for her devotion to family and her generous, giving nature. She was gentle, kind, and caring. She put others needs ahead of her own and always saw the good in people. Those of us that knew and loved Jackie will always feel a tremendous loss as a result of her passing. She will be deeply missed. We will forever cherish her in our hearts and memories.

Angels lifted a shining star to the Heavens too soon for those of us left behind.
Jackie's open heart and personality brought all of us close to her .
I will treasure Jackie's friendship and memories of many years with the SOUNDS of JOY our St Colette guitar church choir. God sends us special people in our lives, and Jackie is certainly one of them. See you in the future.

Jackie wasn’t only my aunt, she was a dear friend. We could talk for hours and never run out of things to talk about. I shall miss her terribly. My heart goes out to Craig and their beautiful family whom she loved so. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

On behalf of the Capuchin brothers, I offer my deepest sympathies on the passing of Jacqueline. It is truly humbling to receive memorial donations in honor of Jacqueline's life. Please be assured of the brother's prayers for the entire Cebulskie family during this great time of grief. May perpetual light shine upon Jacqueline.

Jackie was my aunt, but we were more like sisters. We grew up together and have shared so much in our lives, and I will always remember her.
Jackie and Craig recently celebrated 64 years of a beautiful marriage -- role models for our entire family.
My heart aches that she is gone from us.
She will be sorely missed, and I pray God greets her with open arms.
With love,
Dee Boulus

I am heartbroken to hear of Jackie's passing. She never aged, I always thought she would just live forever. She was one of the kindest, sweetest persons ever. My kids will always remember her as "gramma Siti" as well her warmness, kindness and generosity.
Love and prayers for her wonderful family
