

Born on August 20, 1950 in Madaba, Jordan, Jalal was the oldest of 8 kids. He was a devoted husband to Dina (Azara) Karadsheh whom he married in 1974 and shortly after immigrated to the US before settling in Grand Rapids, MI. Together they created a family rooted in love, cultural heritage, faith and strong family values.
He was the proud father of 5 children: Saba (Suzy) Karadsheh, Cindy (Enrico) Soave, Shadi (Rebecca) Karadsheh, Danny Karadsheh, and Joey (Nicole) Karadsheh. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Dara, Hannah, Milana, Elia, Emilia and Gabriel.
Jalal is also survived by his brothers Bashar and Aiman and his sisters, Buthayna, Basma, Iman and Abeer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Saba and Sonya Karadsheh and his brother, Bassam
A lifelong entrepreneur, Jalal owned and operated numerous businesses over the years. His strong work ethic and determination allowed him to provide for his family. No matter what business venture was presented, Jalal was going to succeed. Jalal was known for his deep love of classical Arabic music, dancing, playing cards, grilling and being the ultimate “pool shark” . He was always ready to host a gathering, filled with an abundant amount of food, drinks, music and laughter.
Though he spent much of his life in the United States, his heart never left Jordan. He made frequent trips back to his hometown of Madaba, finding peace and happiness in its familiar streets and cherished memories.
Jalal’s life was marked by a hospitable heart, kindness and a deep love for his family. He leaves behind a close-knit family and many friends who were shaped by his presence and the memories they shared with him. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152, with a Trisagion Service beginning at 7:00 pm. On Thursday, July 31, 2025, Jalal will lie In State at St. Mary Orthodox Basilica, 18200 Merriman Road, Livonia Michigan 48152, from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. A burial will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
