James Douglas Flynn

Mr. Flynn was an Engineering Analyst for Ford Motor Company. He retired after nearly 40 years of service. Jim was passionate about relating to people and ensuring all whom surrounded him felt loved and appreciated. Jim had a gift of making others feel like they were the only person in the room. His passions were not only filled with the care and love of people, but for God's world that surrounds us. Over the years he found solace in his time in the outdoors of Michigan, Alaska, and Nevada with family and friends. He is survived by his sons Jason (Amy) and Michael (Lorena) Flynn; along with his grandchildren Abigail, Grant, Brendan, Noah, Paige, Sophia, Mateo, Gabe, Anthony, Emilia, and Sophia. In addition, he leaves behind his brother Jerry and numerous nieces and nephews whom appreciated and loved him beyond words. His memory will live on in their deeds in his and the family name. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia.

Memorial visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 25800 West Ten Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan 48037. Following the visitation, private inurnment will occur with his wife.

In lieu of flowers, Jim would have preferred a memorial donation may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or that you continue his legacy of doing good deeds for others.
