James Jim Stevens

James Stevens was born May 14, 1942 in Haleyville, Alabama, the only son of James and Geneva Stevens and the brother of Kathy. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and after his tour of duty, married the love of his life Nancy Berta in 1968 at the Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn, Michigan.

Jim loved cars. Throughout his life he would sell them as well as be a car enthusiast. Jim also took great pride in being a pilot. He enjoyed playing poker, golfing but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy and his two children James (AnnMarie) Stevens and Angela (Michael) Drelles. He is also survived by his four grandchildren James Alexander, Michael James, Jackson Jeffry and Bradley George as well as his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Hart.

Friends may visit Jim's family on Sunday August 14, 2011 from 4 pm until 9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, located at 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152. Jim's funeral service will be Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11am at the funeral home. The funeral home is located on the north side of W. Six Mile, east of I-275 and Newburgh Road.
