Loved when Jan helped me at my HAP "AEP" and "Turning 65" meetings.
She was great and I loved getting to know her...such a positive person whom adored her husband, daughter,  entire family and friends.

I always think of her with wonderful memories.

Jan and I both worked in Patient Services at Metropolitan Hospital, me at the main hospital in  Detroit on Tuxedo and Jan with Lori MacRobert Reed & Marion Jordan at Metro West in Livonia.  Later Jan & I worked together again at HAP.  For all the years I've known her Jan was always the same loving, caring God centered woman.  Anyone that knew Jan, even slightly, knew how very important her family was to her. She was always that person  checking on someone else to make sure they were alright.  To her family, I send prayers of condolence and strength to you all.  May God comfort you in your loss as only he can. 🙏🏾❤

I worked with Jan at HAP for many years.  When I had member events, I always looked forward to having her come out and sit at the benefits table to answer questions from our members. It was always so nice to see members recognize her from talking with her on the phone about their issues and finally getting to meet her.  She was so kind and sweet and everyone loved her. I loved talking with her and hearing about her family.  Jan will be missed by many and Heaven is richer with her in it. I pray for your comfort and hope memories of sweet Jan will make you smile until you meet again.

My memory of Jan. Was after every holiday especially, Thanksgiving and or Christmas. I would be warming up my after holiday dinner, that I would bring for lunch. And rather if Jan was leaving out of the kitchen or passing by she would stop and say I smell greens. The following day I had greens for her. Jan was so excited she warmed them up and came to my desk and said What did you do to those greens LOL. From that day forward until she retired I would bring her Collard Greens after every holiday. Jan will truly be missed

My sincere sympathy and Prayers for all of the family. I worked with Jan at HAP for many year's, she was a wonderful woman. She was always available to help me and was kindness personified. She will be missed and may she Rest In Peace.

My sincere condolences for the loss of  your  precious Jan. I was fortunate to know her and Mike from the early years at group MS support meetings (GEMS) at the Livonia YMCA. 
Jan was a true gem of a person and so are Mike and Emily.

I met Jan when she was the best Personal Service Coordinator at HAP.  She helped me at many of my HAP Medicare meetings over the years; helping me with all the members who attended with all their member questions, which I sure appreciated her ability to look up and follow up with them!  I loved when she was at my meetings and we spent a lot of time talking about our families. She was so in love with her husband, Mike... I loved hearing about all their vacations!  Emily was the light of her life and Jan ADORED her Grandson. To all Jan's family...I am so sad for you...she was a great person. I started missing her when she retired from HAP but we kept in touch a few times per year; now...we will have to communicate through Heaven.  God bless to all of you going through this horribly sad time.

So, so sorry for your loss, praying God’s  peace to overtake you.  I met Jan while working at HAP, she was always so positive and encouraging ... if you were having a rough day Jan was your go to person.  She looked beyond her own life’s struggles to make sure to help you get pass yours! To know her was to LOVE her! ❤️ 

I met Jan and her sisters thru a Red Hat Group of Henry Ford HS ladies. So many have commented about what a sweet person she was.  That is what I remember about our interaction at the Red Hat Ladies Events.  Very kind, friendly person.  May she rest in Peace.

I met Jan while working at HAP. She was cheery and very quick-witted.  She was a joy to work with and how I truly appreciated her banana nut bread. Jan’s personality was one-of-kind and she will be dearly missed. 

Jan and I worked together at HAP.   My husband loved the banana nut bread she would bring to work. Jan was always a ray of sunshine, a joy to be around, and always had a kind word to brighten my day.  She will be missed.

I met Jan at Metro West Hospital. We worked together, we had the same Camaro, same color, we were pregnant together, our daughters  grew up together, we never ever fought, we finished each other’s sentences, we laughed at the same time just because we were thinking the same thoughts, she would cry when I cried, and our friendship has no end. I’m lost, I’m broken hearted, but I’m also truly blessed to have so many memories. My condolences to Mike, Emily, Jans Mom and Sisters and the multitude of family and friends who love her as much as me and my little family. RIP in Peace Jan. Until we meet again 💔💔💔


Jan and I worked many years together at the Henry Ford clinic at Middlebelt and Schoolcraft. She was a terrific lady! We only recently connect ed again through Facebook. She will be missed. My deepest sympathy to the family. I am sure she is resting in the arms of the Lord.

Jan was such a delightful and funny person! I enjoyed working with her and sharing comical stories and jokes to get us through the day. She truly was a ray of sunshine to be around and will truly be missed!

Jan and I worked together at HAP. She was such a lovely person. She always had a kind word and would go above and beyond for anyone that needed help. I pray that her memory will be a blessing to all of the lives she touched.

Jan was an amazing Personal Service Coordinator for HAP! She went far beyond the written responsibilities of her job description and she cared for her assigned members like they were her very own parents. The love I saw she had for her mom and family was the same she displayed for her teammates and members. 
Her constant encouragement and helpfulness made work easier many days, even when her own health was not the best. Such was a special lady that I was blessed to know. My prayers and condolences to Mike, Emily and the entire family. May God’s blessings be with you. 

Janet was such a lovely person to talk to and had a wonderful sense of humor. I am so glad I knew her for so many years. My prayers are with you and your family at this time.

To Jan's loving family, I'm so sorry for your loss. As your own words indicate, she was full of life and fun. Her dedication to you was a lesson for us all. It was at the time your precious Emily was born that I came to know Jan. This was through the eyes of Emily's adoring Aunt Barbie. I loved hearing young Emily stories from Barb and later adult Emily and Jacob updates with a slice of Mike from Jan herself.  Jan will remain in my heart. You are in my prayers. 

I have known Janet since we were children.  I am best friends with Barb, the middle sister, and consider the O'Dells my second family.  Janet was always a very sweet, caring, and lovable person.  I am heartbroken for all the people who love her.  Jan's life will provide comforting memories for all.  She was a truly wonderful lady!

Jan and I served on the PTG board at St. Robert Bellarmine when our kids were much younger. She was a very caring person who had the well being of all the SRB children as her first priority. We worked hard but shared many good times and laughs. 
We didn’t get to talk very often, but when we did it was always great to reminisce and catch up with news about our families.I will hold you all in prayer. I hope your beautiful memories will bring you peace and comfort in this hard time.

I pray your strength during this time of mourning.    Jan and I worked at HAP together, she was such a caring loving person with the most beautiful soul. 

Once Jan found out my husband and I had the coronavirus, she’s checked on us regularly.  In fact she text me 2 or 3 weeks ago just to simply check on us.  I’m totally in shock by her passing. 

I pray that God continues to keep his hands and a watchful eye on Jan’s family, especially Eli as she kept a caring eye on those of us she loved.

I had the pleasure to work with Janet at Metropolitan West Hospital for many years. We shared so many laughs together. She worked hard and was so kind to everyone. Anyone who knew her loved her. I hold those memories close to my heart.

Jan was like my second mom growing up. Most of my childhood memories of SRB and my mom involve Jan, my mom, and Emily. I have so many fond memories to cherish and keep close to my heart. We are all so incredibly heartbroken, but Jan’s smile and love will continue to be with her family and friends. May she Rest In Peace and stay in our hearts forever.

I cherish every single moment that I spent with Jan. We were 2 peas in a pod.  Her laugh was contagious, her heart was huge, she really loved deeply, and I am lost without my dearest friend of over 44 years💔 May you Rest In Peace and I pray that you are happy and healthy and that you will watch over Mike, Emily, your sisters, Mom, Jake and ALL who love you and miss you already as much as I do ♥️
