

Jennie Mocur passed away on February 26, 2015 at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was born on September 15, 1926 in Michigan City, Indiana to Ali and Agnes Olweean. Jennie retired from Charisma Salon after 30 years as a cosmetologist.
She was a fitness enthusiast and enjoyed going to Zumba classes up until the end of 2013. Jennie also had a special talent for working with stained glass. She created many unique pieces for her home that she shared with her late husband, Frank, of 51 years. To her family and friends Jennie was a fashionista -- Always presenting a classic look whenever she was out with friends and family members. She was an outstanding seamstress and sewed clothing for her family. Jennie was a strong and graceful woman who will be missed by so many.
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank Mocur. She was the loving mother to Sharon (Greg) Rouse, Karon (the late Wayne Hendricks) Mocur, Marilyn (Nelson) Maldonado, and Paul (Sylvia) Mocur. She was the dedicated grandmother to William, Marissa, Paulie, and Lauren. Caring sister-in-law to Janet and Marilyn “Patsy”. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Ali and Agnes Olweean, and her siblings and their spouses Mary, Kathryn (Harry), Sammie (Belle), Eva “Howie” (Shorty), Bob, “Amie” (Lois), Roy “Modie”, and Adam.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Friends may visit Saturday beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, Michigan following the Funeral Service.
