John was the beloved husband of Barbara and dear father of Tom (Laura) and Charles (Jodi). He was the proud grandfather of Alyssa, Charles Jr., Megan and Emily. He is survived by two brothers Stanley and Cass.
John loved the game of golf. He was PGA Professional for 46 years. He was the manager and the pro at San Marino Golf Club, Hilltop Golf Course and Harbour GC for many years. He was the President of the PGA Seniors for 3 years along with serving as the Tournament Chairman for the Michigan PGA. He enjoyed teaching the game of golf and volunteered many hours instructing juniors and adults with his knowledge of the game.
John served our country in the US Army and was the head pro at the base course where he was stationed in Washington. He was proud to be the head commander’s golf coach.
John will be greatly missed by his family, friends and golf community.
