

Jon enlisted in the US Navy in 1982, where he underwent engineering training before being honorably discharged in 1986. Following his naval career he began working for Handy & Harman and eventually on to SKF USA Inc. as a Sr. Sales Account Manager.
In his free time Jon was an avid marathon runner, Ironman and Xterra triathlete. He enjoyed traveling and racing around the world competing in events from the US, to Europe, to New Zealand. He and his race partner and wife Sandy even qualified for the Xterra Nationals in Utah.
During his down time Jon enjoyed traveling with Sandy to their second home in Arizona. There he loved being surrounded by the mountains and frequently could be found mountain biking and running though them.
Jon was the loving husband of Sandy. Dear son of Marlene and the late Ronald. Beloved brother of Dan (Terry), Joe and Laura (George) Allion. Cherished uncle of Adam Logan, Amanda Roy, Amy Waterston, Tim Allion, Spencer Allion, Nicole Dalicandro, Leah Heller, Dana Heller, Cara Heller and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jon's family will receive friends on Monday May 21, 2012 from 4-9pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.
His life will be celebrated with a Funeral Service on Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 11 am at Ward Ev. Presbyterian Church, 40000 Six Mile Rd., Northville.
