It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith “Judy” Eckoff, who departed this life on July 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Detroit to Donald and Virginia (Young) Kuhn, Judy was a woman of extraordinary warmth, kindness, and grace. She found great joy in life’s simple but profound pleasures—decorating her home with care, hosting joyful holiday celebrations, and filling every room with love and laughter. Her home was the heart of family gatherings, a place where everyone felt welcome, cherished, and at ease.
Judy was a devoted mother to her four children: Rick (Melissa) Eckoff, Jennifer Kaczmarczyk, Rob (Melissa) Eckoff, and Merri Eckoff. Her love for her children was deep and unconditional, and she nurtured each of them with gentleness, strength, and a generous spirit.
Her greatest pride and joy came from her role as a grandmother. She shared a special bond with her beloved grandchildren: Gehrig, Mattingly, Brooke, Hailey, Cooper, Griffin, Mason, and Allison. Her presence in their lives was a gift of love, laughter, and endless encouragement.
A lifelong lover of animals, especially dogs, Judy had a compassionate heart for all creatures and was happiest surrounded by the warmth of both people and pets.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Richard Eckoff Sr. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and a family that carries her spirit forward every day.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.
