Always enjoyed going to see her at the ice cream shop. My uncle was her nephew, Michael Patrick Rodgers. I never got to meet him but enjoyed his family.

Kathy, a great friend, neighbor and big  (little) sister.  Ed and I will miss you. I'll miss our talks and good advise but most of all your beautiful smile.  All our love, Ed and Maureen.

My husband Charlie and I met Stan and Kathy in the early 70s.  We quickly became good friends and I thoroughly enjoyed Kathy's friendship.  She was smart, funny, gentle and kind, plus always in a good mood and ready for adventure.  One day in the 90s she & I decided to fly to London England to see the stage play "Phantom of the Opera".  After the play we mailed our raincoat and high heels home. Then we put on our jeans and backpacked by railroad to Austria and Germany.  We did the "Sound of Music" tour and saw a few castles.  We got separated once because I got off the train before she did.  She continued, on into Munich Germany and I followed on the next train.  I was scared to death I'd never see her again.  I found her at the information counter with that darling smile on her face.  As if to say, "Where have you been Sally"?  We hugged each other as hard as we could.  Kathy was also an avid shopper.  Even in London England and Frankfurt German she had to check out the department stores.  I took another tour , but she wanted to shop.  I loved Kathy, she was a loyal friend and I will truly miss her.

Dear Stan and family,

We are so saddened to hear of Kathy’s passing.  Kathy was the kindest, funniest, sweetest, and most glamorous neighbor!   She and Stan would stop on their daily walks to talk with our family frequently getting to know each other and letting the dogs play.  Matt and I enjoyed hearing stories of their youth and successes as an entrepreneur couple!   The kids will always remember her as always having her lipstick on and always decked out with her jewelry, and how sweet she was to them. We will miss our friend and neighbor.

Our prayers and deepest sympathy to Kathryn's family. 

We will always fondly remember Kathryn (or "Kathleen" as we called her) as a beautiful, kind, & loving person, who enjoyed life, family and friends, as well as the successful bar/restaurant, then Dairy Queen businesses she ran with her husband  Stan (or "Stosh" as we called him).  Their hard work and business savvy were impressive.

We cherish the good times we had with her and her family,  and will never forget the incredible Christmas lights and decorations her and Stosh displayed on their home in Livonia.

She may be gone from this life, but will always be in our hearts - and we look forward to seeing her again in the next.

I cannot  begin  to convey what an impression and positive influence Kathleen made in our lives. First of all she was  a movie star to us. Beautiful inside and outside. So kind, caring and fun. Kathleen treated us like treasured friends when in reality Kathleen was our mother's best friend. Carol Hall and Bill Hall our parents admired and appreciated all that Kathleen was, a valued friend, an  amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother . We were  in awe of this  woman who was a successful business woman, family first person, great beauty,  fashion plate and dear friend.  We felt  so lucky  know her and her amazing husband who I call Stosh. Kathleen loved her family with her whole heart and soul. Kathleen seemed to accept snd stand by us all. She supported our dreams and showed up at  our events with love and praise. Talk about role  models! We all  wanted to be her. When our Mother died we found countless cards and letters penned by Kathleen to her dear friend  Carol Hall. A beautiful tribute to their lifelong friendship. Thank you , Kathleen for teaching us what we all can be, creative, hardworking, accepting, loving , funny, and fun! We will never forget you. You have made our lives richer snd more beautiful. And until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand. There is a long line of loved ones waiting to welcome you. xo Carrie Hall woof love.
