Pierson, Kathryn Louise “Kathy” age 86 of Livonia, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Kathy was born on August 4, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John and Anna Rodgers. She was also preceded in death by her brothers John Rodgers, Daniel Rodgers, Albert Rodgers, and Patrick Rodgers. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Stanley Pierson; children, Mark (Mary) Pierson and the late Gregory Pierson; grandchildren, Jack Pierson and Alaina Pierson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy started off as friends with Stanley, but it quickly blossomed into a beautiful relationship. They were able to raise two boys together. Kathy was a hard-working woman as she owned two businesses with her husband, including their own ice cream shop, on top of raising two children. Even during these busy times, she never wavered in her dedication to her family, as family was her number one love and priority. Everyone that knew Kathy personally would agree she was selfless, compassionate, empathetic, and kind. Kathy would always give great advice. She was everyone’s number one supporter. Kathy was witty, and her spitfire side never failed to make people laugh. She had a passion for beauty and fashion, and she was always put together beautifully. Her grandchildren had a special place in her heart, as they were the lights of her life.
Kathy enjoyed golfing, going on vacations to Florida, celebrating her Irish heritage, and spending time with friends. What Kathy enjoyed most of all was being with her husband, children, grandchildren, and her dog as this made her feel 100% content and complete.
