Kenneth John Timko

Kenneth (Ken) John Timko, age 82, a long-time resident of Livonia for 55 years, passed away on December 31, 2023 while under the compassionate care of Angela Hospice. Ken was born on September 2nd, 1941 in Caro, Michigan to John and Gladys Timko. After high school in Caro, he relocated to Detroit in 1963 where he met the love of his life, Jan (Talaske). The couple exchanged vows on May 27th, 1964 at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Following their marriage, Ken served as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Upon completing his military service, they returned to Michigan, where Ken embarked on an impressive 42-year career as an Electronics Technician at Sears, Roebuck and Company until his retirement in 2007. Ken was known for his lifelong commitment to learning, his exceptional photography skills, his expertise in computers, and his ability to repair just about anything.

Ken was the cherished husband of Jan for 59 ½ years and the loving father of Mike (Kris) and Christie (Jim). He was the adored grandpa of Easton, Brennden, Ian, and Alexander, as well as the great-grandfather to Nova. Ken was preceded in death by his sister Ann but is survived by his brother John, sisters Jo Ann and Terri, and his cousin and lifelong friend, Don Timko. He leaves behind a multitude of loving family members and friends.
