Linda was the cherished wife of the late Berger Erickson, with whom she shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, companionship, and adventure. She was a devoted and loving mother to Mark (Nancy) Erickson and Jon (Lisa) Erickson.
Linda was also a proud and adoring grandmother to Matthew Erickson, Janine (Brigitta) Spethson, and Deidre (Kevin) Johnson, and a treasured great-grandmother to Aria Madison, Azalea Spethson, Sagan Spethson, and Fletcher Spethson. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved watching the generations grow and thrive.
A faithful and active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livonia for more than 60 years, Linda built many meaningful friendships within her church community. She also gave her time generously as a volunteer with the American Red Cross and through ESL programs, where she enjoyed helping people learn English. She especially loved sitting down with students, asking them about their lives, and encouraging them as they practiced conversation.
Linda shared a wonderful love of travel with Berger, and together they explored many parts of the world. Their adventures took them throughout Europe and even to China, creating memories that she treasured throughout her life. After Berger’s passing, her travels slowed, but the memories of those journeys always remained close to her heart.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the American Red Cross or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
A memorial service for Linda will be held at a later date.
Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
