

Marilyn was united in marriage to James Pierce in 1949 in Detroit MI. They were blessed with two children, James Jr and Zandreia.
Although God saw fit to call Marilyn home to be with him on December 22, 2015, her loving spirit will forever live on through each and every life she touched in her 86 years.
Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory her sister Shirley “Leona” Trice; her two children: James (Regina) of Belleville, MI. and Zandreia Walker of Detroit MI.; one grandson James (Misty) Pierce; seven great-grandchildren: Kyana, Rafael, Makailah, Tyson and James Kolby Pierce, Monte’ Harris and Yasmin Flint; Nephews: Clark, John (Skippy) and Mark, Neice: Ruthie and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins; her friends at Baptist Manor and her beloved pet and companion Tinkerbell.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her spouse James Pierce, son-in-law Michael Walker, grandson Jalani-Rockheim Pierce, and siblings Norman, Earl, Ruth, Hazel, Floyd, Barbara and Betty.
Marilyn (Mumu) enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, sewing, camping, dogs and playing with her grandbabies, nieces and nephews. She had a unique ability to see the beauty in everybody and everything. She had a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and loved to tell stories, especially about her family, to anyone who would listen.
Funeral Service Saturday, December 26 at 12 noon, with visitation beginning at 10am, at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia.
