

Marjorie Ann Edelbrock was born on October 13, 1943 in Escanaba, Michigan, the only child of Clarence and Dorothy Kvam. Marjorie passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the age of 80.
Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Bernard. Loving mother of Ronnie Bresett, Heidi Barson (Chad), and Jason Edelbrock (Julie Farhat). Stepmother of Chris Edelbrock (Michelle), Andrew Edelbrock (Wayne Solan). Former mother-in-law of Christina Bresett.
Dear grandma of Ashley Cook (Zack), Danielle Nicole Markillie (Treshawn Black), Ronnie Bresett Jr, Clayton Edelbrock, Peyton Edelbrock, Jamie Mullins, and Gracie Mullins.
Great-grandma of Addie Jo Cook, Avery Cook, Addie Cook, Scarlett Black and Idris Black.
She will also be deeply missed by her dogs Ben and Juno, as well as her Bethel Baptist Church family and a host of friends.
Marjorie was a devout Christian and cherished member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Livonia, where her faith radiated through her actions. Her passion for baking was a testament to her gentle and giving nature. She delighted in crafting sweet treats for church gatherings, infusing each creation with love and care.
An embodiment of festive spirit, Marjorie loved to bake and delighted in cooking full dinners, infusing each dish with her boundless love and warmth. Just as she generously shared her culinary creations, Marjorie shared her immense heart with family and friends, ensuring no one left her home without a bundle of goodies to enjoy later. Her gatherings were not just about food but the joy of connection and the spirit of togetherness she so effortlessly cultivated.
Animals, particularly dogs, held a special place in Marjorie's heart, providing her solace and companionship. Her eclectic taste in music, ranging from Janis Joplin to Elvis, Tammy Wynette, and Neil Diamond, reflected her vibrant spirit. Evenings were often spent enjoying her favorite shows, "Law and Order" SVU, most especially, and "NCIS."
With a deep passion for justice and politics, Marjorie utilized her criminal justice degree to advocate for meaningful change, often penning letters to politicians in alignment with her values.
Marjorie's love for gardening was evident in her lush and vibrant gardens, which boasted an array of peonies, roses, hydrangeas, and towering hibiscus. Her home became a beacon of beauty in the neighborhood, and her flowers were a testament to her nurturing soul.
A natural storyteller, Marjorie delighted in sharing tales of love and laughter with friends and family, always accompanied by her signature offerings of cake and coffee. Her hospitality knew no bounds, as she ensured no guest left without indulging in her culinary creations.
It may sound cliché to proclaim Marjorie as the best mother a family could have. Yet, her greatness stemmed from the wise words and guidance she imparted and the boundless love she showered upon her loved ones without reservation or condition. Her love was a beacon of light in the darkest times, a comforting embrace in moments of sorrow, and a source of unwavering support in every endeavor.
Marjorie's legacy is not just in the lessons she taught as a mother but in the love she so generously bestowed upon all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to be touched by her presence. Though Marjorie Edelbrock may have passed on, her spirit will forever be cherished by those she touched with her enduring warmth and grace.
Marjorie's family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12pm until 4pm. Her life will be celebrated with a service at 4pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile, Livonia, MI 48152. The service will be led by Reverend Richard Smith.
If possible, the family requests Marjorie's favorite colorful pastels be worn for her celebration of life.
To honor her love of God and animals, memorial donations may be made in Marjorie's name to Bethel Baptist Church, to the ASPCA or any charity of choice that will benefit animals.
