Mark "Rockstar" Banach was born on September 8, 1959 to Pete and Mary Catherine (Aspden) Banach. He was one of five children. Mark passed away peacefully in Florida on October 28, 2021 at the age of 62.
Beloved brother of Mary Ellen (Dennis) Clancy, Todd (Carolyn) Banach, Michael (Amanda) Banach, and the late Terry Banach.
Dearest Uncle of Jacin Waple, Jessica Ecie, Dr. Rachel Banach (Dr. Natalie Cazeau), Edward (Kristina) Clancy, Caitlin Clancy, Christopher (Kristen) Banach and Tanner Banach. Dear nephew of Marvin & Nancy Bannerman, Linda Duke and the late Glen Duke.
Mark grew up in Lincoln Park, then moved to Dearborn Hgts, Michigan, later residing with his family in Livonia, MI. He enjoyed detailing cars and ran his business, "Rockstar Detailing" for many years. He always rooted for his Detroit Lions home team and was a die hard fan.
Mark was a member of the Potters-Wheel group at Ward Church in Northville, MI. He was also very active with the Community Opportunity Center of Livonia. Mark had a love for bowling & was on leagues at Merri-bowl Lanes. Mark had a warm heart, big smile and giving personality. While volunteering and serving his community proudly over the years he often mentioned to his family that if he were to win the lottery or become the "RockStar" BonJovi was, he would take care of them all, that's just the type of person Mark was. He always put others before himself. Such an incredible and loving man, who loved the Lord and prayed daily for anyone in need.
Mark was always making somebody something. One of the latest gifts Mark made was Crosses that had their family name, or Jesus name, or what Mark seen fit for the person. There probably isn't a person that's reading this that Mark has not made or did something for them.
He enjoyed valued time spent with the family, traveled often and loved the holidays. Mark loved to go up north, make bonfires and occasionally enjoy a Coors Light Beer! His idea of camping was a warm bed with many covers.
Through Community Opportunity Center, their staff and a very ambitious helpful team to see him succeed in society. Mark became semi-independent and moved into a COC home in Livonia near family. Despite Covid, Mark made himself very liked by the neighbors and his roommates, Brian & Mark
Mark had an adventurous side; He enjoyed spending time in Las Vegas with family, and recently riding horses with the folks in his Potters Wheel group from church.
Mark had a sense of humor, a love for music and charm about him that will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but especially missed by his nieces and nephews who created such a special bond with him over the years.
Marks family will receive guests for a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 12:00PM until time of service at 6:00PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile, Livonia, MI 48152. Services ending at 8:00pm.
