Mary Ellen Justus passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025 surrounded by her family. Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Joseph. Daughters Susan (Rick) Blaha and Lisa (Steve) Northey. Mary was a loving Nana of Emily Northey.
To Mary, family meant everything. She loved fiercely, led with her heart and cared deeply for everyone she knew. Her fun and creative spirit shined bright. She often doodled and created drawings, was incredibly witty, loved the holidays, adored nature and cherished her time up north with family. Mary opened up her home to everyone in need.
Mary had a memorable career at Burroughs, but left the workforce to raise her daughter and set forth an incredible example of a strong woman and loving mom.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Adele Widner, and brothers, Bill and Donald Widner.
In lieu of flowers, Mary’s family request donations to Angela Hospice in Livonia in her memory.
Visitation will be held at Harry J Will Funeral Home, located at 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, 48152, on November 6, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The Funeral In State will take place at the same venue on November 7, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
